Colonial Craft day is an annual event at the Garrison House. In 2008 it will be held on Sept 28. from 2-5 pm. Visitors can look forward to demonstrations of blacksmithing, chair caning, food preservation, spinning, butter churning, candle dipping, soap making, quilting, weaving, woodworking, basket weaving, and silver smithing.
Of course, you can also view the exhibits in the house and barn. This is an excellent event for the whole family.
The hours are from 2-5 pm. Admission is $3.00 per persom or $5.00 per family. Seniors and children under 16 are free.
If you are skilled in some craft and would like to demonstrate for the public, call (978)256-8832, or email
